| 1.) Obtain a HSLIB account, at the Health Sciences Library's Computer Lab
2.) Click the "Airport" icon
3.) Enter the following information: 4.) Click "OK" 5.) Once connected to "hscnet" then open Safari. If your homepage is an external website like MSN or Yahoo, then you will be redirected to the webportal. (Note: If your homepage is Google or the Stony Brook Univerity Website then try going to another external website) 6.) When prompted with a certificate security warning, click "Show Certificate" |

7.) Check the box "Always trust these certificates" -- you should see "portal-hscnet.uhmc.sunysb.edu" listed & selected. |

8.) Click "Continue" 9.) You maybe prompted by Safari to type your password (this is the password for your machine, not your wireless account). Type your password & Click "OK" 10.) Once presented with the web portal, enter your firstname.lastname with the hslib domain in front of your name (i.e. hslib\john.smith) 11.) Click "Continue" and assuming that your password is correct, you will be redirected to your original homepage or the website that you were originally attempting to browse. 12.) Congratulations, you're connected now. |
